TECNOLOGIA E URBANIZAÇÃO: OS DESAFIOS AMBIENTAIS NA BUSCA DE UMA CIDADE SUSTENTÁVEL

Abstract
There are countless environmental challenges to make a city sustainable, capable of aligning its prototype of life, production and consumption based on technological, economic and socio-environmental parameters. Among the main challenges to be overcome are sustainable production and consumption, access to clean and sustainable energy, sustainable cities and communities, industry, innovation and infrastructure. The significant advances of these coefficients are decisive for the construction of safe cities that can improve the quality of life of the community, in an equitable way and with minimal environmental impact. For this purpose, the city must adopt public policies and strong actions that intend to positively impact sustainability in urban life. In this sense, the purpose of this article is to continue with problematizations about the "Environmental challenges in the search for a sustainable city" and, thus, to contribute to the debates, with a view to critically discussing public actions managed in the city of Tucano-Bahia, at the heart of sustainable initiatives implemented in the municipality, in addition to how the various aspects that aim to balance development in a sustainable way have been developed through environmental actions with the preservation of the environment. To this end, some of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), referenced by the UN, as well as the and effective public policies to promote safer and more sustainable cities for all. The corpus of this research will be constituted from documents, official statistical data, analysis of graphs, reading of reliable information that circulates in the media and will be supported by a reflective and discursive analysis.
